What Is Rupture Disc। Pressure Safety Disc। Bust Disc। Busting Disc। Bust Diaphragm।How It Works?
There is no place such as in Ammonia Processes, Basic Processes, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Industries, Lubricant Manufacturing, Manufacturing Industries, Oil and Gas, or Petrochemicals, which were not used for this special type of safety device.
A rupture Disc is a special type of mechanical mechanism or pressure relief device used to protect various equipment from the effects of overpressure. The Rupture Disc automatically burst at a certain predetermined pressure. The rupture disk is also known as a pressure safety disc, bust disc, busting disc, or bust diaphragm.
Sometimes Safety Disc is used with a spring-loaded safety valve. In that case, the Safety Disc pressure is set up to 05 to 10 percent more than the safety set pressure. Safety Disc usage usually depends on the pH characteristic of the fluid.
The Safety disc or the rupture disk, also known as a pressure safety disc, burst disc, bursting disc, or burst diaphragm used in Petrochemicals, Oil refineries, Aviation, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Chemical Plant, Food Processing, Nuclear, Ammonia, Chemical Process Technology, Manufacturing Industries, etc.
#Types of Safety Disc:
- Conventional Rupture Disc,
- Buckling loaded Safety Disc.
#Rupture Disc Materials are:
- Generally, Aluminum, Copper, and Stainless Steel are widely used to make Safety discs.
- In the highly corrosive services used expensive metals such as gold, silver, and platinum.
